4th of July

There is nothing like being with family for 4th of July holiday. Thanks to Joan I. we had a blast with friends and family.

K and Scotty were in charge of Popcorn. It was so nice not being called "the Popcorn Lady" for a once.

Daddy Pops.
Daddy lounges.

Daddy serves.

With the help and reassurance of cousins, the boys get reacquainted with water and start to love the lake. They paddled and swam all afternoon. Though at first they were a little leery.

Ryry could not possibly be any cuter.

Tent it out back.

Well, one weekend we do the whole camp out in the back yard thing with the boys. But by 5:30 Daddy goes in to his own dark bedroom to sleep in. Then by 6:30 BIG B and K go in to watch cartoons, mom follows. But little Ryry is so tired he sleeps in till 9AM. Though I went to check on him frequently. There he is all cozy in the sleeping bag, one leg out and Monkey tucked in his arms as usual.

OOOUUHH!

What the heck is he smiling about? And why is K yelling ooouuuuh!!!!

Oh, parents that actually like each other. Now their big thing is to yell and chant in unison, KISS, KISS, KISS!!!

Boys on bikes.

Plus one girl. Yea, our 1st bike ride with no bike trailer, no diapers, and no wining!!! yea, time to celebrate.

Nana's card.

My mom loves to make and give great birthday cards. One of my personal favorites is one of her poster cards supplied with lots of yummy treats. It's basically a story or poem with treats in place of certain words. Thanks mom, you are fantastic.

Back yard adventure.

So, I call for the boys and they don't come. I call and call and there is no answer. Finally, after 4-5 min I supply myself with the camera and head out to the backyard, no boys. I hike to the back and crawl under the barb wire fence.
Finally I hear them. Way out in our nieghbors 10 acres they have made a boys adventure land for themselves with the help of the girl next door.
Wow I remember doing stuff like this when I was a kid. I didn't know they had the courage to go beyond the fence. It's kind of neat to see then out there trapsing around: collecting moss, swinging from trees, falling waist deep into mud pool. Poor Ryry.

Skunk Cancells Church...

One Spring sunday we get a call that church has been cancelled do to an unerving smell (possibly skunk) in the building. Well, we just had Primary at home. Water color and crayons and we can show our thankfulness for fish. OK, so I teach the Sunbeams, but my older two will do any art project.

Play Bunny Boys

My kids doing their usual thing. Though I haven't blogged for while, I still have tons of photos. I love my kids, can you tell.

Old Robe Trail hike!!

Hiking was one thing we just
did not get to do enough of this summer. Two week of sunshine was not enough for us to enjoy the summer to the fullest. Though earlyier in the spring we got some good ones in. The giant caves at this old railroad were amazing. Scary gigantic rock and mudslides scattered the old railroad. And the sun was so nice. We shouldn't have taken those few days for granted.

Too Little for Boggle

Ryry is growing like crazy and still working on letters. But he is such a good sport while Nana and Big B play Boggle.
This is just a tipical Sunday afternoon.

Scott's 41

Yea, I'm married to 41 year old total Hottie. I can brag. He feels soooo old cause of a little (a head) gray hair and some laugh lines (wrinkles), but isn't it true men get sexier with age : Sean Conory, Mel Gibson, George Clooney & Scotty!!! I'm still working on his wardrobe though.
But thanks to "Aunt" Heidi and Avery the boys look good. Thanks for the hand-me-downs we love them.
Oooh, is that one of my kids drinking a pop, wow and it's documented. It's probably some organic all natural soda. LOL

The Flying Nana

They think they have the coolest Nana. "She spoils us with treats, reads us stories, and jumps us high." What Nana wouldn't love three crazy, cute, wide eyed little men. They keep us young at heart and help us see the wonder and fun in the world.

K is 6

Yea, I'm a little late getting this out. Finally uploaded the pics. But our little man is getting older and a Tie-Dye party was his choice of celebration.

Wow, these kids get creative. And what boy doesn't love green frosting and green teeth (and green #2).

I think Scott is a reincarnations of my Uncle Smokey and my mom loves having a brother to tease and goof off with.

Enjoying Their History

I have not scrap booked in a while. Too much blogging (LOL)But, now I see how important it is. The Boys enjoy sitting together and looking back in time- at months and years past. They comment on their memories and tell each other stories of what they remember (or what Scott & I have told them about). It is a heart warming moment.
I have noticed while"blogging" that I journal more and am way more selective about which photos to use. I think my scrapbooks will be soo much better!!!

Oh it's gone.

Yup I went for the "inverted bob". Wish it was a little more stacked in back. Oh, well. It's fun and of course- I don't have the nack for styling it like Mike. They always make me look so good when I leave. Then I get home and after 10 min in the bathroom I just leave.

The Sweetest Thing

Brotherly love does exist.

The paint will come out, eventurally!

Well, a few weeks ago we had some fabulous weather. I'm talking Capri's and sandals.

The boys were out side getting creative and Big B decides they need to paint the Club House. I happen to have yellow (the old living room color).

So with brushes and the grubbiest clothes we could find, they spent the whole day painting.

What creative little men!!!

Ry felt like such a big boy being able to use Dad's brushes

It only has taken about 2 weeks to get the paint out of their hair.

Going Going Gone.

Look Ma, NO hands.

Ah, Oh, I'm feeling tipsy.

CA BOOM!
These laughs keep me young.

All Tucked In.

Ry is loving books. After we tucked him in one night, I walked past the boys room to notice him with a flashlight reading in the dark. It was a wonderful moment for a parent. To my 3 yr.old soothing himself to sleep by Dinosaur Pals. Of course I ruined the moment when I used the flash first. "There gos my crazy mom trying to capture some moment". Oh he is toooo cute.

Dad's Barbershop

I was so happy to NOT have to sweep up all the hairy mess. Dad did it all. Clipped, snipped, swept, and washed. Yea!!! K & Big B's hair turned out pretty snazzy too.

Family Journalist.

Big B is thoughtful with the pencil. He has great writing and forms his letters no methodically. I love checking out his little journals and seeing how his minds ticks. It wont be for long that his journals will be locked up - far from parental eyes. So, I'm enjoying the opportunity to pear into the windows of his thoughts.

We really should get a rock wall.

Cameras are great. They capture a moment that sometimes is hard to describe. Well, here is my little natural climber (just like mommy). Sooooo
happy he's figured out how to get to the treats.

What's all this stuff out for?

I come into the kitchen and notice all this cooking stuff out. Wow, they are really serious about wanting to make cookies. (I'm not into cookie cutouts, they are too much work) But the boys just don't take NO ("how about chocolate chip cookies")for an answer. They get the ingredients out and pretty soon their rolling out dough. It was amazing. An hour later these things are decorated and ready to eat. YUM, not bad for 3, 5, 7 year old bakers.

A Sunbeam!

It's a new year (sorry for not updateing this thing in months- Jan & Feb have been packed).

Sunday morning Ry comes out yelling "I'm a Sunbeam". He was so happy to be a part of

Primary and join his big brothers. We are soo proud of what a kind and loving boy his is. Thoughtful, considerate, open, and wise. He sings his ABC's, he reminds of what we should be doing, he loves to help, and is good at cleaning up after himself. We love you!

All Smiles

What a couple of dreamy looking men. Yes, They are soooo cute. How happy could a dad look with his youngest little monkey? Oh that feeling of those little arms wrapped around your neck- there's not much like it. A bit'o heaven.

My Girl Friends Back

Heidi came to visit and the 3 of us got to spend the afternoon together. It was great being together again. Nonstop chatter. Theres nothing like a childhood girlfriend!!! Love you guys, can't wait to be together again.
Wow, are we pushing our mid 30's and have kids? Time Fly's!

The visitor

It was great having Dad off work- for over a week. We got to just hang out all day together. Take the kids to shoot hoops at the gym, wrestle, play games and have friends over -for the 1st time in months. Then IT came to visit. IT visited for 3 days too many. IT zapped our energy, was nasty and took about 5lbs from my loved ones. IT made me have to wash all 5 sets of bedding on the "Sanitary" cycle. IT made me run out on a Sabbath morning to buy Gatorade, Popsicles, Ginger ale and Saltine crackers. IT had me wipe every possible surface with 409 multiple times. IT's name was FLU. AHHHHHH!
